Frederick J. Parente passed away at the Everett Nursing & Rehab in Everett on July 13, 2014. He was only 62 years of age. Fred was born in Everett, MA on November 1, 1951 to the late Louis & Eleanor (Cocorochio) Parente. He was raised in Melrose and graduated from Melrose High School. Mr. Parente has been a lifelong resident of Melrose; he loved music and spending time with his large extended family. Fred was the loving brother of Louis V. Parente of Winthrop, Robert C. Parente & his wife Lori of Westford, Eleanor D. Myles & her husband Bill of Georgetown, Steven P. Parente of Melrose and Laura J. Parente of Saugus. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Friday July 18th at 9:00AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Incarnation Church, 425 Upham St. Melrose at 10:00AM. Relatives & friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday from 4:00-7:00PM. Entombment at Woodlawn Mausoleum in Everett.
