G. Teresa (DeFelice) Grillo, of Melrose, died at the Sawtelle Family Hospice House in Reading on Dec. 6, 2010 at the age of 83. Teresa was born & raised in Hartford, CT and a graduate of Weaver High School in Hartford, Class of 1942. She resided in Hartford until 1959, Saugus for 5 years, Peabody for 8 years and the past 38 years in Melrose. Teresa was a member of the Gospel Center in Watertown for many years and enjoyed shopping, cooking and playing the Piano. She loved to entertain for her family & many friends and traveling all over Western Europe, most of all, Germany. Teresa was a homemaker and the beloved wife of Joseph Grillo Sr. for 63 years. Loving mother of Joseph Grillo Jr. & his wife Nancy of PA, Linda M. Mariotti & her husband Leonard of CA, Ruth F. Della Russo & her husband Joseph of Lynn, Nancy C. Nason & her husband William of Melrose and Frank A. Grillo of PA. Cherished grandmother of Malia, Lenny, Shelley, Kristina, Natalie. Caring great grandmother of Christopher, Cameron and Chase. Devoted sister of the late Daniel DeFelice, Anna Plitnick, Anthony DeFelice and Arline DiMarzio. Also survived by many nieces & nephews. A funeral service will be held at the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Friday Dec. 10th at 10AM. Relatives & friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours on Thursday from 4-8PM. Burial in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Teresa's name to Sawtelle Family Hospice House 320 Haverhill St., Reading, MA 01867.
