Gail A. Finley passed away at the Pilgrim Rehabilitation Center in Peabody, on Sunday, October 20, 2013. She was 77 years of age. Gail was born in Norwood, raised in Norwood, graduated from Norwood High School and then from the Faulkner Hospital School of Nursing. Mrs. Finley worked as a registered nurse at the Faulkner Hospital and at Elmhurst Nursing Home in Melrose for over 40 years. She has been a resident of Melrose for the past 53 years, enjoyed reading, old movies, music and the mountains. Gail was a marksman in her early years and also played the trumpet. Mrs. Finley was the beloved wife of the late Everett J. Finley. Loving mother of Daniel M. Finley & his loving companion LuAnn Fallon of Melrose, Linda G. Dunn & her husband David and Debra A. Candeloro & her husband Robert all of Tewksbury. Devoted grandmother of Caitlin Dunn, James & Andrew Candeloro and the late Cassie Candeloro. Caring sister of Candace Johnson & her husband Philip of Mashpee. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Visiting hours will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Thursday, October 24th from 4:00-8:00PM, followed by a funeral service at the funeral home on Friday morning at 10AM. Relatives & friends are invited to attend.
