Gayle A. (Schoenfeld) Durney passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, March 2 after a courageous battle with cancer. Gayle was born and raised in West Los Angeles, CA, and moved to New England with her family in 1988. Gayle's greatest passion in life was being a mother to her three children and grandmother "Nanny" to her grandson, Caleb. Gayle loved to travel and visit new places, and enjoyed many memorable road trips with her husband, Chris, and their beloved children. Residents of Tewksbury, MA for 24 years, Gayle and Chris moved to Kingston, NH in 2012 to be closer to their growing family. Known for her brilliant smile and infectious laughter, Gayle will be sorely missed but remembered forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Gayle is survived by her husband Chris Durney of Kingston, NH, son Michael Schoenfeld and his wife Alyssa of Windham, NH, daughter Pamela Lewis, her husband Andrew and their son Caleb of Kingston, NH, son Sean Durney and his fiancée Joy Abdon of Quincy, MA, and Sister Eileen Braverman of Eugene, OR. Gayle is also survived by many sisters-in-law, brothers in-law and nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly. Visitation will be held at the Gately Funeral Home 79 West Foster St. Melrose on Sunday March 5, 2017 from 2:00PM- 5:00PM. Relatives & friends are respectfully invited to attend.
