George L. Bourque, age 71, died at the Lakes Region Gen'l Hospital in Laconia NH on Friday Feb. 23rd after a lengthy illness. He was born and raised in Everett, he attended St Joseph's and Chevrus School in Malden. George was a truck driver for American Biltrite for 35 years and Spear Trucking until he retired in 1985 and was member of Teamster's Local # 25. He lived in Medford Malden, Melrose for many years and Meredith NH for the last 15 years. He was the husband of the late Lorraine '' Dolly '' (Sullivan) Bourque. Devoted father of Patricia Bourque and her husband Frank DiTroia of Moultonboro, NH, William J. Bourque of Medford, Thomas L. Bourque of IN, Charlene F. Bourque of Wilmington and Timothy M. Bourque and his financee Angie Davis of Moultonboro. Brother of Joseph ''Tootsie'' Bourque of Saugus, Elizabeth Coogan of Everett, Marion Skerry of Saugus, and the late Harold Bourque. Loving grandfather of Steven Carbone of Wilmington, Kristin, Diane, Heather,Brandon and C J Bourque all of Medford and Mr/Mrs Kevin ( Sheryl ) Carbone of Moultonboro. Great grandfather of Alyssa and Garrett McCarthy of Moultonboro. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W Foster St Melrose on Wednesday Feb 28th at 10 AM. Funeral Mass in St Mary's Church, corner of Myrtle & Herbert Sts, Melrose at 11 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Tuesday 4 - 8 pm. Burial will be in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
