George A. Glines, M.D., of Charlestown, died peacefully on October 6, 2017 at the age of 91. Dr. Glines was born in Somerville on February 5, 1926 to Walter & Harriett (Ferris) Glines. After the war, George earned a Doctorate Degree in Pediatrics and opened his own practice. He practiced in Melrose for 39 years before relocating to Wakefield in 1999, before retiring in 2000. Over the course of his 41 year career he cared for thousands of children, and in many cases the parents of the children were once patients of Dr. Glines as well. He worked very hard throughout his career, always early to work and late to leave.
