Georgina E. (Richard) Colomey Boland passed away at her sons home in Manchester, NH on June 26, 2011. She was 81 years of age. Georgina was born in Melrose on May 7, 1930 to the late Pierre & Bertha (Boyd) Richard. She was raised in Melrose, graduated from St. Marys Grammar School in Melrose and was a lifelong resident. Mrs. Boland has lived in Manchester, NH the last 2 years. Georgina was a homemaker, a lifelong member of St. Marys Church, enjoyed her trips to Mohegan Sun Casino and spending time with her large extended family. Mrs. Boland was a talented artist who loved to paint and showed her works at Miter Biter Frame shop in downtown Melrose a few years ago. Georgina was the wife of the late Luke Boland and the late James Colomey. Mother of Kathleen A. Winslow-Lum & her husband Earl Lum of CA, Stephen J. Colomey & his wife Dolly of Manchester, NH, Ellen D. Dempsey of RI, Siobhan M. Laurino & husband Jay of Lynn, Eileen G. Jareo & her husband Ben of Wilmington and Matthew R. Colomey of Attleboro. Sister of the late Mary Gloria, Robert, Paul, Edgar, Jean & Peter Richard. Grandmother of Rachel, Jill, Bryan, Shannon, Philip & Samantha. Great grandmother of Brian, Emily & Alyssa. Also survived by many nieces & nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Thursday, June 30th at 8AM. A Funeral Mass to celebrate Georginas life in St. Marys Church, Herbert St. Melrose, at 9AM. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hours Wednesday from 4:00-8:00PM.
