Obituary

Gerald I. 'Jerry' Lee died after a long illness on Monday March 25th at the age of 89. Jerry was born and raised in Lowell, graduated from Lowell High School and Dartmouth College in NH. Jerry worked for the US Government as a management analyst for 35yrs. He was a member of the K of C in Ayer Mass, was a 4th Degree Knight, a member of the Boston AmVets, the McKeon VFW Post in Boston and a longtime member of Incarnation Church in Melrose. Jerry served in the US Army during WWII and was a lifetime member of the Lowell Elks. He was the husband of Rita A. (Connolly) Flannelly Lee. Father of James P. Flannelly of Illinois, Paul J. Flannelly of CA, John F. Flannelly of Lynn and Anne Marie Kneuker of CA. Brother of Sal Johnson of Ohio. Grandfather of James P. Flannelly III, Brian W. & Katie E. Kneuker. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Tues. April 2nd at 9 AM. Funeral mass in The Church of the Incarnation 425 Upham St. Melrose at 10 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Monday 2-8 PM. Burial in Wyoming Cemetery Melrose.
