Gerald C. "Gerry" Wodehouse died at Massachusetts General Hospital, on Monday, September 22, 2008. He was 66 years of age. Gerry was born and raised in Santiago, Chile and moved to the United States in 1964. He lived in Boston for many years, a few years in Cambridge and the past 4 years in Somerville. Gerry worked as a research administrator at Tufts University for 22 years as well as at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston University and Harvard University. Mr. Wodehouse was a proud, noble, dignified man with a wonderful sense of humor. He enjoyed cooking, talking, telling a good story and loved to travel every winter back to Chile. Loving husband of Michelle L. Kneissl. Father of Lisa S. Wodehouse of Brookline. Brother of Roderick & Sharon of Santiago, Chile. Also survived by several nieces & nephews. A celebration of Gerry's life will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Thursday, Sept.25th at 7PM. Family & friends are invited to call on the funeral home Thursday from 5:00-7:00PM prior to the celebration. In lieu of flowers please go out and have a good time on Gerry's behalf.
