Geraldine Bodi, of Melrose, died at the Melrose Wakefield Hospital on Jan. 2, 2015 at the age of 76. Geri was born & raised in Roxbury, a graduate of Jamaica Plain High School and went on to attend Business School. Geri worked as an Executive Secretary for Furman Lumber in Billerica for 40 years before her retirement. She resided in Melrose and was a member of St. Mary's Church in Melrose for over 40 years. Geri enjoyed going to Foxwoods, Twin Rivers Casino and was an avid Boston sports fan. She was "Auntie Geri to everyone", was wonderful sister and dedicated aunt to her many nieces and nephews. Geri was the loving daughter of the late Marino & Alice (DeAngelis) Bodi. Caring sister of Alfred Bodi of NH, Emma DeSantis & her late husband Michele "Mike" Sr., of Melrose and the late Luigi Bodi, Pelmet Cirignano and Guido Bodi. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and best friends. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Friday, Jan 9th at 9AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St Mary's Church, Herbert St., Melrose at 10AM. Relatives & friends respectfully invited to attend.
