Obituary

Gertrude M. (Bryan) Curtin, of Easton, formerly of Melrose, died at the Goddard Rehab. Center in Stoughton on Jan. 25th at the age of 94. Gertrude was born in Canada, raised in Melrose and was a graduate of Melrose High School, Class of 1929. She worked as the Director of Welfare in Melrose for many years before raising her family. She was a founding member of Incarnation Church and volunteered for the American Red Cross and the Ames Fund in Melrose for many years. Gertrude was the beloved wife of the late George T. Curtin. Loving mother of Maureen A. Hatch & her husband Edward of Melrose, Timothy L. Curtin & his wife Taeko of Japan, Thomas J. Curtin & his wife Maria of Easton and Michael G. Curtin & his wife Nancy of No. Easton. Cherished grandmother of Jared, Stephanie, Adrian, Deirdre and Michael. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Saturday Jan. 28th at 9AM. Funeral Mass in the Church of the Incarnation, 425 Upham St., Melrose at 10AM. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hours on Friday from 4-8PM. Burial in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
