Gladys C. (Polk) Ventola, formerly of Malden and Melrose, died peacefully on January 31st, 2023 at the age of 94. She was born to Frederick and Lena (MacLeod) Polk on July 1, 1928, in Melrose, MA. Gladys was raised in Melrose and graduated from Melrose High School. She would eventually settle in Malden to raise her family with her late husband Ralph, where they lived for 58 years.

Mrs. Ventola was a loyal Red Sox and Patriots fan, rarely missing a game. She enjoyed trips to Foxwoods with friends, as well as reading and crossword puzzles. She also was an avid bowler and was a member of the Housewife's Bowling League of Malden. Gladys was a wonderful cook and loved preparing meals to bring her family together. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she'll be dearly missed.

Gladys was the beloved wife of the late Ralph J. Ventola. Loving mother of Stephen P. Ventola & his wife Joanne of Rowley, and Thomas F. Ventola & his wife Carrie of CA. Devoted grandmother of Stephanie White, Andrea Ventola, and James Ventola. Proud great-grandmother of Jack, Noah, and Max White. She was predeceased by her three siblings, the late Ruth Polk, Frederick Polk, and Ralph Polk.

Visiting Hours will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St., Melrose, on Monday, February 6th, 2023 from 9:00 – 11: 00 AM. A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home, immediately following the visitation at 11:00 AM. Interment to follow at Wyoming Cemetery, 205 Sylvan St. Melrose. Relatives & Friends are respectfully invited to attend. All guests are kindly asked to wear face masks.
