Gladys H. (Mancia) Zepeda, of Melrose, died peacefully with her family by her side on November 27th, 2022, at the age of 96. She was born in San Salvador, El Salvador, on May 24, 1926, to Hector and Carmen (Castellanos) Mancia. Gladys immigrated to the U.S. in 1971 at the age of 45. She was a strong, hardworking woman who had a tremendous love for her family. Gladys was a very faithful person and would often recite her prayers at home. She enjoyed family gatherings and visiting her family in Puerto Rico, California, Texas, Arizona, and El Salvador.

Gladys was the beloved wife of the late Oscar Zepeda. Loving mother of Sylvia Dutra & her husband Marcos of Melrose, MA, the late Oscar Zepeda Jr & his wife Maribel of Modesto CA, and Guillermo Zepeda & his wife Patricia of Fort Worth, TX.

She was the cherished grandmother of Monica Schultz, Crystal Ahrens, Bobby Zepeda, Billy Zepeda, Marc Dutra & his girlfriend Vivian Ramirez, Stephanie Dutra, Tania Dutra and the late Oscar Zepeda III. Proud great-grandmother of Gabriella Zepeda, William Trevino, Christian Trevino, Pyerce Ahrens, and Scotlynn Ahrens.

Funeral Services will be private at Gately Funeral Home and Wyoming Cemetery in Melrose, MA.
