Glenn Stuart Peterson, of Swampscott, died suddenly on Sunday, March 8, 2009, at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He was only 39 years old. Born on April 14, 1969 in Lynn to Donald R. Jr. & Marilyn J. (Perreault) Peterson, he was raised in Swampscott and a 1987 graduate of Swampscott High School. After high school, he attended the Kents Hill Prep School in Kents Hill, Maine. Glenn then went to work at Seaboard Distribution in Danvers for 8 years and then with AAA Cooper of Florida where he hauled freight for 6 years. Then, together with his brother Derek, they owned and operated Sequoia Builders of Lynn for 3 years. Glenn loved motorcycles; cars and playing Texas hold'em. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus of Salem and the Sports Car Club of America where he placed 1st in class in 2008 with his Honda S2000. His dream was to sit & ride in a NASCAR and be in a Poker Tournament. Glenn will miss his two cats, Saber & Sasha. He was the beloved son of Donald R. Jr. & Marilyn J. (Perreault) Peterson. Cherished brother of Derek S. Peterson of Lynn. Loving grandson of Donald R. & Lois Peterson of Swampscott. Boyfriend & future husband of Valerie J. Ventura of Nahant. Special Uncle of Jacinda Augusta Peterson. Brother in law of Carolyn Peterson of Canterbury, NH. Caring nephew of Raymond Perreault & his wife Paula of Manchester, NH & Leonard Peterson of Boston. Cousin of Nicholas & Tyler Perreault of Manchester, NH. Funeral from the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home 157 Maple St., Lynn on Sat. March 14th at 9AM. Funeral Mass in St. John the Evangelist Church 178 Humphrey St., Swampscott at 10AM. Family & friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours Fri. 4-8PM. Interment in Swampscott Cemetery.
