Hazel A. Denley died after a long illness Jan. 30th at the age of 95. She was born and brought up in Melrose, attended Melrose Schools and has been a lifelong long resident of Melrose. Hazel worked for Herman's Jewelry for several years and the Grant's Dept. Store in Melrose for many years. Hazel was a member of St. Mary's Church Melrose. She was the wife of the late Melvin W. Denley. Mother of Alice A. Meuse of Melrose and the late Barbara A. Murphy & Melvin W. Denley Jr.. Sister of the late Phyllis Behrle. Grandfather of William Meuse of Woburn, Stephen Meuse of Stoneham, Sandra Ferrera of N. Reading, Robert Murphy of Melrose, Scott Denley and Christopher Denley both of Georgetown. Also survived by 5 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Friday Feb. 2nd at 11 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours will be held prior to the funeral on Friday morning from 9:00 - 11:00 AM.
