Cronin
April 17, 1944 – February 26, 2025
Helen F. Cronin, a beacon of kindness and love, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2025, at the age of 80 in Danvers, MA. Born on April 17, 1944, in Malden, MA, she was the cherished daughter of the late Charles and Mary (McGrath) Gibbons. Helen's warmth and friendly nature touched the lives of all who knew her.
Helen was the beloved wife of the late Walter F. Cronin, with whom she shared many treasured moments, including scenic drives to Woodmans. She was a devoted mother to Leanne C. Berlinsky of RI and Nancy C. Reilly and her husband Brian of Cohasset. Her role as a grandmother was one she held dear, always beaming with pride for her grandchildren Rian, Zachery, Nora, and Ronan. Helen was also a caring sister to Barbara Kerrigan and Patricia Sexton, with whom she shared an unbreakable bond and countless days filled with joy.
After graduating from Cheverus High School in Malden, Helen joined the workforce at Sears in Saugus, where she was not just an employee but a creator of lifelong friendships. Her colleagues remember her as a person who brought light and laughter into the workplace, making every day brighter.
Helen's interests were a reflection of her loving and sociable nature. She was a fixture at the Milano Senior Center in Melrose, where she enjoyed playing cards, participating in yoga classes, and sharing dinners with friends. Her sisters were her companions in many of life's adventures, and together they created memories that will be cherished forever.
As a person, Helen was the epitome of friendliness, love, and kindness. She navigated life with grace and a smile that could light up a room. Her presence was a comfort to those around her, and her legacy of love will continue to live on through her family and friends.
A quote that encapsulates Helen's approach to life is by Mother Teresa, "Spread love everywhere you go. Let no one ever come to you without leaving happier." Helen embodied this sentiment, leaving a trail of happiness and love wherever she went.
Helen F. Cronin's life was a testament to the power of kindness and the enduring strength of family bonds. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her. As we say goodbye to Helen, we celebrate the remarkable woman she was and the countless lives she touched with her generous heart.
