Helen L. (Chernecki) Dosch passed away at Wingate of Reading on Monday July 1, 2013. She was 89 years of age. Helen was born in Boston, raised in Dorchester, graduated from the Jeremiah E. Burke High School and has been a lifelong resident of Dorchester. Mrs. Dosch worked for many years as a manager for the Jordan Marsh Company in Boston. She enjoyed reading, working, watching TV and going to the local beaches and Cape Cod. Helen was also a longtime member of St. Peter's Church in Dorchester. Mrs. Dosch was the wife of the late Robert E. Dosch. Mother of Richard Dosch & his wife Anne of Peabody and Michael J. Dosch & his wife Victoria of Wakefield. Grandmother of Kristen McDuffie & her husband Darryl of TX and Stephen Dosch & his wife Victoria of Marblehead. Great grandmother of Kiara & Jayla McDuffie and Samara, Landon & Ryan Dosch. Sister of the late Andrew, Michael & Anna Chernecki. Cousin of Leo Wysochanski of ME. Visiting hours will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Saturday from 8:30-9:30AM , followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary's Church, Herbert St. Melrose at 10AM. Relatives & friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
