Obituary

Helen Rose (Brussard) Feeney passed away at Mass. General Hospital on January 20, 2006, she was 78. Helen was born in Somerville, raised in Saugus, graduated from Saugus High School & Burdett Business School in Boston. Helen worked for State Street Bank for a few years, the New England Telephone Company as a engineering clerk for 15 years, part time at Fleet Bank and 8 years in the admitting department at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital. Mrs. Feeney has been a resident of Melrose for the past 55 years, was one of the original parishoners at Incarnation Church, was a volunteer at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital and for the City of Melrose working the polls on election day for over 25 years. Helen loved to travel, dance and was a devoted mother, grandmother & great grandmother. She was the wife of the late Paul E. Feeney. Mother of Catherine A. Feeney of Haverhill, Paul E. Feeney of Melrose, Jane M.Wilson of Denver CO, Michael J. Feeney of Reading, John J. Feeney of Melrose & Edward N. Feeney of Auburn. Also survived by 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Tues. Jan. 24th at 9AM. Funeral Mass in The Church of the Incarnation, 425 Upham St. Melrose, at 10AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Monday 4-8PM. Burial in Wyoming Cemetery in Melrose. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
