Helen M. (Leahy) McManus died at Harbor House Nursing Home & Rehabilitation Center in Hingham Oct. 4th at the age of 89. She was born and brought up in Charlestown, graduated from Charlestown High School, lived in Somerville for over 30yrs, Arlington for a few years and the past 4 yrs in N.Weymouth. Helen was the organist at St. Poly Carp Church in Somerville for over 35yrs and was a former member of St. Poly Carp Church Ladies Sodality. She was the wife of the late Arthur L. McManus. Mother of Arthur L. McManus Jr. of Lynn, J. Kevin McManus of Marshfield, Helen M. Langone of N. Weymouth and Anne M. Sullivan of Stoneham. Also survived by 14 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral mass will be held at St. Mary's Church Herbert St. Melrose on Sat. Oct. 6th at 9AM. Relatives and friends invited. There are no visiting hours. Arrangements by Gately Funeral Home Melrose. Burial in Wyoming Cemetery Melrose.
