Helen M. Turner passed away at home, March 12th, after a long illness, at the age of 72. Helen was born and raised in Melrose, graduated from St. Mary's Grammar School and St. Mary's High School Class of 1948. She worked as a clerk for the First National Bank of Boston for 27 years, retiring in 1985. Helen was an avid tennis player and played for the Winchester Tennis Team for over 20 years. She was a lifelong resident of Melrose, a lifelong member of St. Mary's Church and was a member of St. Mary's Ladies Sodality. Helen was the daughter of the late James F. & Ann J. (Brennan) Turner. Sister of Peggy Kelly of Melrose, Mary Ardagna of Atlanta GA, John Turner of Melrose and Ann Malenchini of Wakefield. Dear friend of late Nick Sibelli. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Sat. March 15th at 8AM. Funeral mass in St. Mary's Church Herbert St. Melrose at 9AM. Relatives and friends invited.
