Helen M. (Sokolowski) Velluto, of Melrose, died unexpectedly at home on Nov. 14, 2018 at the age of 92. Helen was born in Ipswich, raised in Lynn and attended Lynn Classical High School. She was a homemaker and resided in Melrose since 1948. Helen was an avid knitter and enjoyed crocheting & gardening. She was a tremendous cook and loved to take trips to Maine & the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Helen's family was the most important part of her life and she loved to take care of her grandchildren. She was the beloved wife of the late Angelo F. "Jule" Velluto for 54 years. Loving mother of Frank R. Velluto & his wife Paula of Melrose, Stephen M. Velluto & his wife Mary Ann of VA and Susan M. Morales & her husband Foster of Melrose. Cherished grandmother of JuliAnn, Michael, Christopher, Alexandra, Elissa & Marco. Great grandmother of Giuliana, Gregory, Elena and Wilder. Predeceased by 12 brothers & sisters. Also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives & friends. A graveside service will be held at Wyoming Cemetery, 205 Sylvan St., Melrose on Wednesday, Nov. 28th at 10AM.
