Henry L. Fober passed away at Epoch Senior Healthcare in Melrose on October 24th, at the age of 86. He was born and raised in Wakefield, graduated from Wakefield High School, Class of 1936 and MIT, Class of 1940.He was a WWII Army Veteran. Henry worked as the manager for A.C. Leather Company of Peabody for over 35 years. Mr. Fober has been a resident of Melrose since 1942 and was an avid golfer.Henry was the husband of Louise V. (Kelley) Fober. Father of Gail F. Katz & her husband Norman of NY City and Carol L. Fober of Melrose. Grandfather of Aimee Katz & her husband Steve Zipkin & Michael Katz all of NY. Great grandfather of Hannah Zipkin. A funeral service will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Thurs. Oct. 28th at 11AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Wed. 4-8PM. Burial in Wyoming Cemetery Melrose. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Henrys name to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St. Framingham 01701.
