Henry M. Hubert, of Melrose, passed away surrounded by family on Feb. 1, 2019 at the age of 103. Henry was born & raised in Somerville and attended Somerville Schools. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. After returning from WWII, he went on to earn his degree in Accounting from Bryant & Stratton College. Henry delivered ice with his father with a horse & wagon, worked as a Milkman for Whiting's Milk in Marblehead for over 25 years and as a Custodian for the Melrose Middle School for 18 years before his retirement. Henry was a member & daily communicant at Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Wakefield for many years. He was a gentle soul, had a dry sense of humor and enjoyed traveling to England, Alaska and with his brother to California. Henry was the beloved husband of the late Blanche (Noyes) Hubert. Former spouse of Rita LeBlanc. Loving father of Henry M. Hubert, Jr. & his wife Barbara of NH, Buddy F. Hubert & his wife Ana, Nancy M. Hubert, all of Melrose and Paul D. Hubert of NH. Caring brother of James Hubert, Donald Hubert, Anna Hubert and predeceased by 1 sister & 3 brothers. Also survived by 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives & friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main St., Wakefield on Friday, Feb. 15, 2019 at 10AM. Relatives & friends respectfully invited to attend.
