Henry J. Pagliarulo passed away at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, on November 17, 2008. He was 87 years of age. Henry was born and raised in East Boston and lived in Stoneham for over 50 years. Mr. Pagliarulo served in the US Navy during WWII. He worked as an insurance broker and then as co-owner of Transit Insurance Company in Boston for over 60 years. After his retirement he spent winters in Pompano Beach, Florida and summers at Corbett's Pond in Windham, NH. Henry enjoyed taking his family out to dinner, following the stock market and was a die-hard Red Sox fan. Mr. Pagliarulo was a member of St. Patrick's Church in Stoneham, the Knights of Columbus and the American Legion in East Boston. Henry was the husband of the late Florence A. (Seminatore) Pagliarulo. Father of Elaine A. Maxwell & her husband Ben of ME, Adele Pekins of Stoneham, Michael Pagliarulo of Stoneham and Susan Janeczek & her fianc Warren Shaw of Dracut. Grandfather of Deborah Millin & her husband Scott, James Maxwell & his wife Tammy, Scott Maxwell & his wife Leisa, Craig Janeczek & Brittany Janeczek. Great grandfather of Caroline & Daniel Millin, Rebecca, Emma & Elizabeth Maxwell and Elora Maxwell. Brother of John Pagliarulo of Saugus, Florence Abromowski of PA and the late Joseph, George, Emil, Michael, Christina, Rose, Eleanor, Mary, Lillian & Angelina. Also survived by many nieces & nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Saturday, Nov. 22nd at 8:45AM. Funeral Mass in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St. Stoneham, at 10AM. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hours Friday 3-8PM. Entombment at Holy Cross Mausoleum in Malden.
