Hilda ( Alverez ) Marina, 81, died at the Woonsocket Health Center, Woonsocket RI, after a lengthy illness. Born and raised in Cuba, she had lived most of her in Brighton and Melrose before entering the health center in Woonsocket. She was an employee of Sack's 5th Boston in the alteration department for over 27 yrs and retired in 1987. Hilda was the wife of the late Angel ( Henry )Marina. Mother Annette Marina Buckley of Glastonbury CT, Mary Helen Marina of Quincy and the late Dr. George Marina. Mother-in-law of Bill Buckley and Richard Swiech. Grandmother of Bret Buckley, Amanda Buckley and Julie Marina. Private Funeral Services were held at the Gately Funeral Home 79 W Foster St Melrose. Burial was in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose. A Memorial Service to celebrate Hilda's life will be held in January at the Congregational Church of South Glastonbury, Main & High Sts., Glastonbury CT.
