Ignacio E. Martinez, of Medford, died at the Sancta Maria Nursing Facility in Cambridge on Dec. 28, 2004 at the age of 54. Ignacio was born & raised in Chile before moving to the United States 12 years ago, where he has worked as a painter. He was the devoted son of Nelly Martinez & her late husband Pedro of Medford. Loving father of Tina & Ignacio Martinez . Caring brother of Aida Zuniga & her husband Carlos of Medford, Nelly Hatfield & her husband Mark of Melrose, Miguel Martinez & his wife Marcella, Pedro Martinez, and Roxana Martinez & her husband Jose Luis Barreia, all of Medford. Also survived by many nieces & nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Friday Dec. 31st at 10:30AM. Funeral mass in St. Marys Church, Herbert St., Melrose at 11:30AM. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hours on Thursday from 4-8PM. Interment at Harmony Grove Cemetery, Salem.
