Ira B. Leedham, 70, died at home after a brief illness wednesday morning. Born in Watertown, he was raised in Melrose and was a lifelong resident. He graduated from Melrose High class of 1949. Ira was a mechanic for AmTrac in Boston from 1959 until 1993 when he retired. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Leedham, Ira was the husband of Barbara A. ( Paoletti ) Leedham. Father of Paul J. Leedham & his wife Judy of Lowell and Mark T. Leedham & his wife Lisa of Danvers. Grandfather of Haley, Paul Michael and Anna Leedham. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W Foster St Melrose on Sat Sept 7 at 8 AM. Funeral Mass in St Mary's Church, corner of Myrtle & Herbert Sts, Melrose at 9 AM.
