Irina (Pengili) Pelushi, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2026, while at the Glen Ridge facility in Medford, Mass. She was born in Moscow, Russia in 1953, daughter to Natalia (Rozengolzen) and Enver Pengili. 

Before coming to America in 1999, Irina was a pediatrician in a health care center in Tirana, Albania.

Lovely and positive woman, she leaves behind her husband Drin Pelushi of Melrose, brother Luani Pengili, son Arbi Pelushi of Quincy, late son Gjergji. Irina had one granddaughter, Sophia Pelushi.

Visiting hours will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 from 10:00am-12:00pm, followed by a graveside service at Wyoming Cemetery in Melrose at 12:30pm. Relatives & friends respectfully invited to attend.
