Irma T. (Turner) Blomerth, of Malden, died Wednesday Nov 12th at the Clough Center in New London, NH at the age of 95. Irma was born in Stoneham, raised in Malden and graduated from Malden High School in 1925. She was a graduate of Malden Business College and worked as a bookkeeper for Chase Harris Forbes Corp. in Boston for many years. Irma and her husband became prominent Real Estate Developers in Malden and after his death in 1969, she continued to own & operate Talmage Real Estate Trust for many years. She was an active member & past president of many organizations at the Unitarian Universalist Church in Malden and was a member of the Melrose Community Associates. Irma was the beloved wife of the late Maurice V. Blomerth. Devoted mother of Geraldine S. Jackson of Henniker, NH & Maurice V. Blomerth Jr & his wife Sherryl of Bridgton, ME. Loving grandmother of Laurie Barrasso & her husband Peter of Henniker, NH, Kenneth W. Sprague Jr & his wife Kathy of Malden, Diana Tilton & her husband Scott of Henniker, NH, Fred E. Sprague II & his wife Nancy of Malden and Geri-lyn Bowen & her husband Andrew of Kingston, NH. Great grandmother of Diana, Kenneth, Mitchell, Brittany, Morgan, Jessica, Kendra, Colby, Austin, Logan, Declan and Emma. A funeral service will be held at the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Monday Nov. 17th at 11AM. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hours will be prior to the service from 10AM-11AM. Burial in Forest Dale Cemetery Malden.
