Irma M. (Bushee) Doucette passed away at home, on October 12,2006, she was 83. Irma was raised in Everett, Malden & Melrose, attended St. Mary's High School and has been a lifelong resident of Melrose. Irma was one of 15 children growing up; she was a homemaker and a devoted mother to her five children. She worked for several years in the 90's at Frank's Festival Café on Berwick Street in Melrose. Irma loved to read, cook and bake & was an avid Red Sox fan. She was the wife of 57 years to the late Paul G. Doucette. Mother of Linda J. Collins & Bob of Melrose, Janis L. Doucette Sexton of Medford, Paul G. Doucette Jr. of Melrose, Larry J. Doucette & Nancy of Wakefield and Marie P. Crowell & Glenn of Melrose. Grandmother of Sandra Slaght, Jennifer Ryan, Dennis & Mark Lawhorne, Steffanie & Paul Fahey, Larry Faulkner, Derek Doucette, Joshua & Jared Crowell. Great grandmother of Jessica & Meryn Slaght, Caroline, Cameron, James, Jack & Markie Lawhorne. Sister of George, John, Edward, Robert Bushee, Barbara Whitford and the late Wilfred, Raymond, Thomas, Arthur, Frank, Ernest, Freeman, Joseph Bushee & Louise Sheridan. Also survived by numerous nieces & nephews. Funeral services will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Mon. October 16th at 11:30AM. Relatives & friends invited.
