Jacqueline M. (Goss) Northrup, of Melrose, died at the Winchester Hospital on May 4, 2014 at the age of 86. Jacqueline was born & raised in Melrose and a graduate of St. Mary's High School in Melrose & Malden Business School. She worked as a Secretary for the principal at the Melrose High School for over 30 years before her retirement. Jacqueline was a member of Sacred Heart's Church in Malden for many years and was always taking care of her family & friends. She was an avid bowler, a medal winning ballroom dancer and enjoyed spending her time with her friends at Revere Beach. Jacqueline was always very active and loved to go to Ireland to see where her mother & family grew up. She was the cherished daughter of the late Gordon & Mary (Jackson) Goss. Loving mother of the late Christine M. (Northrup) Brickley and the late Dianne L. (Northrup) Christenson. Cherished grandmother of Ellie A. Brickley of Wakefield & Michael V. Brickley of VA. Also survived by many cousin & relatives here and in Ireland. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Tuesday, May 13th at 8:00AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Sacred Heart's Church, 315 Main St., Malden at 9AM. Relatives & friends respectfully invited to attend.
