Jacquelyn B. 'Jackie' (Burke) McCaleb passed away at home on Dec. 16th at the age of 72. Jackie was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois and graduated from Alvernia Catholic High School in Chicago. She worked as a stewardess for American Airlines for 2 yrs and United Airlines for 5 years and then met her husband Cliff and married him in Marblehead, MA. Jackie has been a resident of Melrose for the past 43 years, she was a homemaker, an longtime member of Incarnation Church, a devoted grandmother and she volunteered for Meals on Wheels in Melrose for over 10 years. Jackie was the wife of the late Clifton J. McCaleb. Loving mother of Kathleen B. McCaleb of AZ, Kevin B. McCaleb & his wife Eileen of Melrose, Colleen H. McCaleb of Hamilton, Kelly M. Karki & her husband Bhumi of Malden and Kara E. Manierre & her husband Ray of CT. Devoted sister of Colleen A. Burke of CA and the late James Burke. Loving grandmother of Christopher, Scott, Sean & Derek Manierre and Shannon & Michelle McCaleb. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Sat. Dec. 20th at 10AM. Funeral mass in The Church of the Incarnation, 425 Upham St. Melrose, at 11AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Friday 2-4 & 7-9PM. Burial in Wyoming Cemetery Melrose.
