James J. "Jim" Falzarano passed away at his home in Melrose surrounded by his loving family on August 13, 2015. He was 88 years of age. Jim was born in East Boston on September 7, 1926, to the late Vincent & Angelina (DeFronzo) Falzarano. He was raised in East Boston and graduated from Mechanic Arts High School in Boston. Mr. Falzarano entered the service after high school and served his country with pride in the US Navy during WWII. Jim lived in Malden from 1954-1968 before moving to Melrose, where he has been a resident for the past 47 years. Mr. Falzarano worked as a mechanical engineer at WNA Comet Products East in Chelmsford for over 30 years. He was always the "go-to guy" if a problem arose and needed to be fixed and was always there to help out family and friends. After his retirement he started the Whale Tales By Angela Company, making beautiful plastic whale tales of any color, selling them to family and friends and then donating the money to charity. Jim had a heart of gold, a great sense of humor and loved spending time with his family and friends. He and his wife Angela traveled extensively throughout the world and loved taking their family on wonderful vacations. Jim was also an avid golfer and a member of the Mount Hood Golf Club in Melrose. He was the beloved husband of 65 years to Angela M. (Pisaturo) Falzarano. Devoted father of Jim Falzarano of London, England, and Linda M. Hanson & her husband Gregory of Malden. Brother of the late Richard Falzarano & Frances DiPaolo. Caring brother-in-law of Antonio & Joan Pisaturo of Malden. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 West Foster St. Melrose, on Wednesday, August 19, 2015, from 4:00-8:00PM. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home on Thursday August 20th at 9:45AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Incarnation Church, 425 Upham St. Melrose at 11:00AM. Relatives & friends are respectfully invited to attend. Entombment with Military Honors at Holy Cross Mausoleum in Malden. WWII Navy Veteran.
