James A. Freda passed away at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital, on Sunday March 27th, he was 65. James was born and raised in Medford, attended Medford Schools, lived in Billerica for a few years and Melrose since 1968. James was a process operator at AW Chesterson in Woburn and Groveland for 10 years and had also worked for the Gregstron and the Gelatin Corp for several years. Mr. Freda enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a devoted father and grandfather. James was the husband of the late Janice M. (Brown) Freda. Father of Susan Champy & her husband John of NH and Steven Freda & his wife Sang of Melrose. Son of Marion (Walker) Freda of Medford & the late James Freda. Brother of Anthony Freda of Malden. Grandfather of Matthew & Jessica Freda. A graveside service will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery, Playstead Rd. Medford, on Thurs March 31st, at 11AM. Relatives & friends invited.
