James Earl Quinn died at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford June 4th at the age of 72. He was born in Boston, raised in Cambridge and graduated from Cambridge Latin High School. James Earl was a Court Officer at Somerville District Court for 18yrs and Cambridge District Court for 2yrs. He worked as a part-time sexton at St. Joseph Church in Somerville for a number of years, enjoyed his camping trips to NH and was a member of the American Legion. James Earl lived in Somerville for over 20yrs and the past 12yrs in Medford. He was the loving husband of Julia A. (Foley) Quinn. Devoted father of Jamie R. Quinn of Salem NH, Julie Mary Quinn of Medford and John P. Quinn of Melrose. Father-in-law of Heidi Quinn & Kara Quinn. Adored papa of Molly Rose, Brady James, Katy Shannon and Patrick James. Also survived by 2 granddogs Tim & Jacko. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Sat. June 8th at 8:45AM. Funeral mass in St. Joseph Church 264 Washington St. (Union Square) Somerville at 10AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Friday 2-4 & 7-9PM. Burial in Puritan Lawn Cemetery Peabody.
