James Robert Staffier, 49, of East Falmouth, formerly of Medford, passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on August 18, 2017. Jim enjoyed boating around the waters of Cape Cod and a fun filled day on Washburn Island with family and friends. He especially enjoyed spending time with his daughter Dakota, the love of his life. Other interests include skiing, which he was an EISL Champion, Hockey, mainly goal tending and gardening in his backyard. Jim was an avid Boston sports fan and loved watching The Patriots and Bruins games. He is predeceased by his parents Paul and Barbara Staffier and his sister Gayle Staffier, formerly of Medford and East Falmouth. He leaves behind his cherished daughter, Dakota of East Falmouth, his sister, Barbara Staffier of Lowell, his brother Paul D. Staffier of Reading and his brother Atty. David W. Staffier and his wife Mary of Somerville and East Falmouth. He also leaves behind his niece Emily and nephews Daniel and Joseph of Reading and many relatives and friends. Visitation will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, on Friday, August 25th from 8:30-10:00AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Raphael's Church, 512 High St. Medford at 11AM. Burial at Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford. Relatives & friends are respectfully invited to attend.
