James A. Watkins, 57, died at home unexpectedly Sunday afternoon, Feb 2. Born in Medford, he had graduated from Melrose High, entered the Army in 1963 and served during the VeitNam conflict until 1966. Jim was a supervisor at Jet-Spray Corp, a plastics molding company in Norwood for 25 years and later an anesthesia technologist at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital for 8 years. He was the husband of Irene R. ( Zaino ) Watkins. Father of Kellie A. Watkins - Colwell, M D, and her husband Gregory J. of Stratford CT. Grand- father of Alexander and Abigail Colwell. Son of Harry A and the late Catherine (Harvey) Watkins. Brother of Robert Watkins and Carol Watkins both of Burlington. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral Service Services will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W Foster St Melrose on Thurs Feb 6 at 11 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Wednesday 4 to 8 PM. Burial will be in Wyoming Cemetery.
