Jamie Robert Scioli passed away suddenly at his home in Melrose on Friday, April 1, 2016. He was only 42 years of age. Jamie was born in Malden on June 7, 1973, he was raised in Melrose, graduated from Melrose High School in 1991 and attended the North Shore Community College and Bunker Hill Community College. Mr. Scioli was a lifelong resident who had a passion for cooking and eating and worked as a chef at several restaurants in the Boston area. Jamie was an excellent baseball player, played ball for Melrose High School and continued to play ball in softball leagues after he graduated. He enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and loved following the Patriots, Bruins, Red Sox and Celtics. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Jamie was the cherished son of Margaret L. (Barisano) Scioli of Melrose and Robert W. Scioli & his wife Linda of Winchester. Loving brother of Robert "Rob" Scioli & his wife Eleni of Riverdale, NY and Gina Scioli of Winchester. Also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Visitation will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 from 3:00-7:00PM, followed by a Celebration of Life at 7:00PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be private.
