Jane K. (Donovan) Bushee passed away at the Lahey Medical Center in Peabody on October 10, 2014. She was 78 years of age. Jane was born in Melrose on May 2, 1936 to the late Edward & Mary (McCormick) Donovan, was raised in Melrose and graduated from St. Mary's Grammar School and St. Mary's High School, Class of 1954. She moved to Peabody 21 years ago. Jane was a homemaker and also worked part time for Dr. Jako in Melrose for over 25 years. Mrs. Bushee was a longtime member of St. Mary's Church, was an excellent athlete and tennis player, enjoyed being a "hockey mom" and loved going ice skating. Her family always came first in her life and she always enjoyed her trips to Newfound Lake in New Hampshire. Jane was the beloved wife of 54 years to Edward Bushee. Loving mother of Jean M. Mothon & her husband Lou of Methuen, Edward C. Bushee of Derry, NH, Paul J. Bushee & his wife Carol of San Marcos, CA and Donna J. Morris & her husband Chris of Methuen. Caring sister of Mary Crowther of Melrose, Edward Donovan of N. Reading & Sheila Enwright of CA. Cherished grandmother of Jessica, Katie, Mary, Emma, Jacqueline, Matthew, Patrick, Sean & Kelsie. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Wednesday, October 15th at 9:30AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary's Church, Herbert St. Melrose at 10:30AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday from 4:00-8:00PM. Interment at Wyoming Cemetery in Melrose.
