Janet R. (MacLeod) Stanton passed away at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital, on January 30th, she was 59. Janet was born in Medford, raised in Malden & Melrose and graduated from Melrose High School. Mrs. Stanton worked in Tele Communications for Tufts for 12 years and then for Travcorp in Malden for several years. She has been a resident of Melrose since 1955. Janet enjoyed cooking, summering in Washington, NH by Lake Sunapee for the past 20 years and was a devoted wife and mother. She was the wife of John F. Franny Stanton. Mother of Laura A. Stanton of Windham NH and Kevin J. Stanton of Melrose. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Thurs Feb. 3rd at 8AM. Funeral Mass in St. Marys Church, Herbert St. Melrose, at 9AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Wed. 2-8PM. Internment will be private.
