Jean (Fowler) Neale, of Malden, died at home on Nov. 27, 2014 at the age of 83. Jean was born & raised in Medford, a graduate of Medford High School, Class of 1949 and went on to attend Bridgewater State College. She was a homemaker and longtime Warden Election Official for the city of Malden for many years. Jean loved to ballroom dance and enjoyed putting on dances every Saturday and New Years Eve at the Malden Emergency Center in Malden for many years. She enjoyed spend summers on Beaver Lake in Derry, NH and spending her time taking care of her grandchildren & great grandchildren. Jean was the beloved wife of the late Norman A. Neale for over 60 years. Loving mother of Allen R. Neale & his wife Elizabeth of Amesbury, Cheryl L. Preston of Malden, Bruce C. Neale & his wife Denise of Derry, NH and Dennis E. Neale & his wife Karen of Melrose. Caring sister of Louise A. Small of Andover and the late Patricia Small. Niece of Ruth Hussey of Chelsea. Also survived by 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and many nieces & nephews. A funeral service will be held at the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Tuesday, Dec. 2nd at 11AM. Relatives & friends respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours on Monday from 4-8PM. Burial in Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden.
