Jeanne Marie (Dolan) Farry passed away at her home in Malden on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 surrounded by her family. She was only 62 years of age. Jeanne was born in Melrose on June 11, 1951 to the late Leonard & Eileen (Thomas) Dolan. She was raised in Melrose, graduated from Melrose High School, Class of 1969 and from the Massachusetts Histologist School at New England Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Farry was a dedicated histologist working for Melrose-Wakefield Hospital for 20 years and then for 11 years at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend who was a very hard worker and cherished the times spent with her family. Jeanne loved her annual trip to North Conway, NH with her girlfriends, enjoyed spending time on the beach in Nahant with family and loved taking trips with her late husband Rick to Hawaii, Nova Scotia and other fun destinations. Mrs. Farry has been a resident of Malden for the past 37 years. Jeanne was the devoted wife of 33 years to the late Richard A. "Rick" Farry Jr. Loving mother of Richard A. Farry III & his wife Rebeccah of Holbrook and Amy E. Farry & her fiancé David O'Brien of Stoneham. Proud Nana Banana of Liberty, Grace & Richard Farry IV and Erika O'Brien. Cherished sister of Bob & Kathy Dolan, Nancy & Joe Hegarty all of Reading, Ann & Richie Spataro of Melrose, Jim & Sherri Dolan, Lenny & Amy Dolan all of Wenham and Mark & Paige Dolan of Strafford, NH. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, a grand niece & nephew, cousins and friends. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Monday, March 31st at 8:45AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at the Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main St. Wakefield at 10AM. Relatives & friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Sunday from 2:00-6:00PM. Interment at Forest Dale Cemetery in Malden.
