Jeanne F. (MacKay) Richardson died at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital, on March 3, 2006, she was 80 years of age. Jeanne was born and raised in Melrose, graduated from Melrose High School, Class of 1942 and was a lifelong resident. Besides raising her nine children, Jeanne worked as the assistant activities director for McFadden Manor Nursing Home in Malden for over 20 years. She was a member of the First Nazarene Church of Malden and was a Sunday School teacher at church for many years. Jeanne was the wife of John G. Richardson. Mother of John R. Richardson of Malden, Gail Starr of NH, C. Allen Richardson of Braintree, Gary D. Richardson, Jill A. Donahue, Judy L. Richardson all of Melrose, Lynn A. Freethy of Saugus, Dawn E. Donahue of NH & Glen A. Richardson of Malden. Sister of John MacKay of GA & the late Charles MacKay. Also survived by 19 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the First Church of the Nazarene, 529 Eastern Ave. Malden, on Tuesday, March 7th at 11AM. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hours will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Monday March 6th, from 4-8PM.
