Jeffrey M. Carmody passed away suddenly at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center in Boston, on Saturday, July 11, 2009 at the age of 27. Jeff was born in Malden, raised in Everett, moved to Wakefield at the age of 16 and graduated from Wakefield High School, Class of 2000. He attended Merrimack College in Andover before moving to Allston, where he worked as a shift manager in a local restaurant. Jeff was a people person and always there to lend a hand. He had a passion for music and studied the influence & history of several musical genres. Jeff especially enjoyed the Blues, liked going to concerts & local clubs and enjoyed city living. Mr. Carmody was also a talented writer and wrote poetry and shory stories. He was the beloved son of Kevin K. & Eileen (Kyllonen) Carmody of Wakefield. Loving nephew of Gerald Carmody of Melrose, Kathleen & Gerard O'Leary of Salem, NH, Eileen Carmody of Everett, Karen & Steve Roberts of Stoneham, Diane Kyllonen of Everett & Albert Kyllonen of ME. Also survived by numerous cousins & friends. A funeral service will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Wed. July 15th at 10AM. Relatives & friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday 4-7PM. Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett.
