Jeffrey Collins, of Melrose, passed unexpectedly on November 8, 2024.

Jeff lived his entire life in Melrose attending Decius Beebe School & was a graduate of Melrose high school. He went on to work for the City of Boston Parks & Recreation Department for over 19 years on the Boston Commons where he set up for concerts & events. His real passion & love was pop culture, television & personalities and he had encyclopedic knowledge on these topics which he shared via his podcast & YouTube channel. He spent many weekends in New York City going to plays, Comicon conventions, and events to meet A& B list performers & took great pride in his collection of movies & photos sharing these encounters. Jeff loved family first and foremost and will be missed by his large extended family.

Jeff is survived by his mother Rita (Welch) Collins of Boston, his father Edward J Collins of Melrose, MA, his sister Donna (Collins) Williams & Richard Williams of Emerald Hills, CA, Christine Collins & Edward Lyons of Revere, MA, Daniel Collins & Kerry Gallagher of Boston, Patrick Collins of Boston, Paul Collins of Boston. He is preceded in death by his loving brother Edward Collins of San Diego, CA. He is also survived by loving nieces & nephew, Edward Collins of Quincy, Ma, Kathryn & Lauren Williams of Emerald Hills, CA & Brigid & Maeve Collins of Malden MA.

Visiting hours will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Monday, November 18, 2024, from 4:00PM-7:00PM. Procession from the Gately Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at 9:00AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary's Church, 4 Herbert St., Melrose at 10:00AM. Relatives & friends respectfully invited to attend. Interment in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
