Jia Huey "Lucy" Doong, of Somerville, passed away on September 21, 2021 at the age of 68. Jia was born in Taipei, Taiwan on February 9, 1953. She eventually moved to New York City where she met her future husband Tom of thirty years. They were married and soon moved to Somerville, MA where they raised their son and have lived for the last 28 years. Jia was a good investor and enjoyed playing the stock market. She was also a talented gardener and always took pride in the gardens around her home. Earlier in her life, before her lengthy medical issues, she loved to go for walks and hike the trails of New Hampshire. Jia was a very tough and strong-willed woman, and despite her lengthy illness she always showed great resiliency. She was a friendly neighbor and always met you with a smile. Jia is survived by her devoted husband Thomas F. Sullivan of Somerville; and her loving son Tom C. Sullivan of Natick. Funeral Services will be private.
