Jo Ann Misail (nee Gianoukos) fell asleep in our Lord on Tuesday, October 31, 2023. May her memory be eternal.

She was born in Boston, Massachusetts on September 3, 1940, the twin sister of Peter Gianoukos, to Charles Gianoukos and Vasiliiki (nee Coulouras) Gianoukos.

Jo Ann is survived by her husband of 60 years, Gustas Misail, their children Hope-Valarie (and Chris), Vaughn (and Catherine), and Dina (and Alfred), many grandchildren (Jessica, Luke, Emelia, Graham, Charles, Samuel, Victoria and Benjamin) and one great-grandson Chris Leo, and many relatives & friends.

Jo Ann grew up in Boston and later moved to Stoneham with her husband, was a parishioner of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral of Boston and the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Woburn. Delighting in the achievements of her children and grandchildren, to whom she was known as "Mom aka JoAnn aka Gianna," she was always ready to open her heart and home to them, especially with her baking and cooking all kinds of adventurous goodies. She adored sharing Greek delicacies with all who visited.

Jo Ann's visiting hours will take place at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 70 Montvale Avenue in Woburn, MA on Monday, November 6, 2023, from 10:00AM-11:00AM, followed by a her funeral at 11:00AM. Burial will follow at Lakeside Cemetery in Wakefield.
