Joey E. Crawford died suddenly in Malden Jan. 5th at the age of 33. He was born in Boston, raised in Melrose, graduated from Melrose High Class of 1986 and lived most of his life in Melrose. He worked for a Cement Manufacturing Co. in Lynn for a short time.He was the son of Shirley (McHatton) Crawford of Melrose and the late Robert Crawford. Brother of Joan Turnquist of Wakefield, Robert L. Crawford & his wife Patricia of Reading, Mary Jane Hawes & her husband Michael of Billerica, Richard G. Crawford & his wife Linda of N.Reading and Debra E. Crawford of Nashua NH. Also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral service will be held at Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Wed. Jan. 9th at 8:00PM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Wed. 4-8PM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Vincent DePaul Society 1280 Washington St. Boston
