John M. Crescenzo, 75, died at Melrose -Wakefield Hospital Saturday after a lengthy illness. Born in Revere, John was raised in E. Boston and had lived in Medford for 3 yrs prior to moving to Saugus 37 yrs ago. He was an accomplished musician, having taught himself to play many instruments and had received a Certificate of Accomplishment from the Music Dept of the Boston Public School System. John was owner of the Crescent Cleaning Co for many years and retired in 1987. He was an active member of the Church of the Incarnation,Melrose, the Sons of Italy in Winchester and the Sacred Heart Bowling League in Medford. John was the husband of Helen A. ( DeRocco ) Crescenzo. Father of John Crescenzo of Saugus and Richard Crescenzo of Malden. Grandfather of Guy, John, Nathan and Matthew. Brother of Rose Bevilaqua Brookfield of Malden, Jean Gortot of NH, Dorothy Cullerton of Malden and Vincent Crescenzo of Charlestown. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
