Obituary

John J. Jack Higgins, of Everett, died on March 8, 2005 at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital at the age of 80. Jack was born & raised in Everett and was a lifelong resident. He served in the Navy during WWII. Jack worked on the railways for the Washington D.C. transit system and also help build the MBTA in Boston until his retirement 20 years ago. He was the loving brother of Mary M. Shinners & Anna C. Donovan, both of Everett, and the late Thomas P. Higgins. Uncle of Annmarie Cerra and her children, Justin & Cody, of Wilmington. John Shinners & his wife Cindy & their children Michael, Carolyn, Joseph, & Thomas of Boxford. Noreen Tennenbaum & her husband Bruce & their children Joshua, Caleb, & Tatum of AZ. Also the uncle of the late James Shinners & his wife Carol & their children James & Jennifer. Visiting hours for the family will be private per his request. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 11th at the Immaculate Conception Church 487 Broadway, Everett at 11:00AM. Relatives & friends invited. Burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. Contributions in Jacks memory may be made to the American Cancer Society 30 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701-4688. Visitation: Private Private
